Tips for working out what the real problem is.

One of the many possible ways of looking at the situation to come up with what the real problem is,  that needs to be solved.

The way that we think has profound implications and powerful effects  on ourselves as people, and also on our actions, and consequentially the effects of our actions on our environment and people around us.

These questions  attempt  to enable our thinking to be as pure and clear as possible so that clarity of awareness, understanding, decision-making  and human relations effects is optimised.

Initial questions to ask yourself

Ask yourself  what kind of situation is that ?

Is there anything else about the situation ?

Where is this situation? or whereabouts is the  situation ?

The  situation is like “what?”

Is there a relationship between the situation  and what I am after ?

When the situation occurs  , what happens to what I am after ?

Then what happens? or what happens next?”

What happens just before the situation?

Where could the situation come from?

And in the case of the situation,  what would I like to have happen?

What needs to happen for what would I like to have happen?

Can what would I like to have happen, actually really happen?

Then ask yourself questions about what is getting in front of what you want the situation to be like

What happens just before what would I like to have happen ?

Where could what would I like to have happen come from?

What needs to happen for what would I like to have happen?

Can what would I like to have happen, actually happen?

What resources do I have to get to where I want the situation to be like.

What are my strengths regarding getting what would I like to have happen ?

What are my weaknesses regarding getting what would I like to have happen ?

Is there anyone who can help me to  get what I would like to have happen?

How can they help?

Do I need money, or an increased budget  to get what I would like to have happen?

Do I have enough strengths, resources, money  and people to help me to get what I would like to have happen?

If I do not have enough strengths, resources money  and people to help me to get what I would like to have happen, should I look at changing what I would like to have happen to something that I do have resources to get what I would like to have happen?

Maybe to get to what I would like to have happen, I need to solve a series of problems.

A bit like the steps in a journey.

Maybe the resources that I have now will allow me to get past the first step, and the key here is that this step has to be one that builds the resources to get to the completion of the following step.

All of the steps lead to getting to where what I would like to have happen, actually happens.

Get feedback from others

Identify people who have more knowledge, experience, or even similar knowledge and experience as yourself, or even different ways of thinking and ask them what they think about what it is that you would like to have happen.

Ask them how they would go about it.

Ask them what they think the real problem is that has to be solved.

Ask them about possible ways to achieve what it is that you would like to have happen.

Ask them whether it is realistic to think that you can get to where it is that you would like to have happen.

Then decide on what the real problem is, that is actually able to be solved with the resources that are available to you, and which has a reasonable chance of success
